    Fine casting plaster

    I have used ordinary casting plaster for quite a long time. I make and run out on the bench moulds for conices and coving. The ordinary casting plaster would vary in colour from bag to bag and usually would have lumps. Not really an issue, but the bags would go off quite quickly, even though wrapped in plastic Then I tried Fine Casting. What a differance, much smoother, no lumps. More dense and takes up more detail, also stores much longer. Although more costly definately worth paying the extra.

    Easy to use in latex moulds

    Mixed as per the instructions (1 water to 1.43 plaster by weight), this plaster pours easily and sets in about half an hour. I generally left it for about 45 mins (after starting to mix) and it came out of the latex mould with ease. I very rarely saw bubbles but I was very careful. Clean-up is easy too.
