Decent Piece Of Kit
This product is of a very good quality and very well made. I thought it was a good price for such a high end product. I have used the more expensive beer, Speckled Hen but have found the basic beer just as effective in drawing the slugs to the trap. One can of beer 500 ml will be enough to fill the trap on two occasions. I have ensnared none to 24 on each setting of the trap but I have averaged about 12 slugs over 14 nights. The wetter nights tend to trap the most. The way the trap is made makes it very easy to clean especially with a hosepipe.This product is of a very good quality and very well made. Plastic box
It attracted slugs, they came, had a party and left by morning. The only way you can catch them is if you get up in the middle of the night, say 3am, and empty the plastic box. You could use any old box if you just want to feed slugs. No instructions came with the unit apart from add beer.

How to catch snails
This little plastic box with three pits inside is Ideal, the first night I have used it I caught seven snails. It is surprisingly well made quite heavy and has the advantages that it can be moved around to where it is needed. Garland had the best price for this item and I am pleased that I purchased it.

I have four of these dotted about my garden. We use really cheep beer, and one can will fill two separate traps. I have two dogs so I never use chemicals or poison, and these are a fantastic alternative. I always get loads of slugs in them so they definitely work. Great you can just place them anywhere on the ground (including pathways etc) without having to sink them into the soil. Does what it says on the tin
My wife puts the cheapest beer I can find at the supermarket into these ( we bought two) and it works fine - dozens of dead slugs of all shapes and sizes. Even though the lid is detachable, it remains on in the fiercest winds. We empty them into the flower borders every week or so (organic compost lol), clean, re-fill and dozens more fall in. Fab :-)
