A well engineered kit that works with great fitting instructions.
When I took my DISA valve out of the inlet manifold I could tell straight away it was broken! The photographs show that the flap had broken away from the operating arm. I looked at a three different options for repairing this. I had seen some spurious new DISA valves for sale but figured that if I had an original BMW valve that could be repaired then I should do that. I found two different repair kits on eBay, one in plastic and the other (this one) in aluminium. I decided that as the original in plastic had broken that I should go with the aluminium kit. This did not disappoint. The kit arrived next day. There are instructions on the internet showing how to fit and test the kit. The instructions are very good, the pieces all assembled up very easily and from unbolting the broken Disa ... My car did have lean codes but the more noticable problem was that it felt flat with poor throttle response. I now have a far better throttle response and the car does not feel flat any more. Although I have replaced the DISA valve as part of a batch of work to address the lean codes, I have done any changes one item at a time so can actually say for certain that the repair kit cured my problem.

Very well thought out product
Great quality, includes everything you need, even grease & lock tight. Scan some instructions on the bag & it’s about a 20 minute job all in. Very well thought out & great quality! Typically my disa was like new when I pulled it out, but at least I now have peace of mind. Will be using this company again for other parts.

"A" Class quality repair kit, highly recomended.
Works like a charm! My DISA valve is now fixed, the old flapper was non operative as the plastic crank inside was broken. It's great quality and came with all the necessary parts. I highly recommend it as a permanent fix if you've been having problems with your DISA..

Buy cheap, buy twice
Bought the X8R vanos seal kit before, had everything I needed, was chuffed with the quality. I did buy a disa valve from a polish seller here, blue plastic thing, broke within a month and had half a disa flap rattling around in my manifold. Not happy. Bought this and the weighty aluminum flap, locktite and reinforced shaft reassured me it won't happen with this one. Kit is coprehensive and even has instructions. The extra money is absolutely worth the peace of mind, and has cleared up my lean codes and bad idle. Couldn't recommend enough. I had looked at cheaper product on market and read the review on them almost all of them are poor quality and risky as still there is a pin at one end. I bought the X8R kit , it arrived next day by Royal mail .you can tell straight away the quality that has gone into engineer this product and therefore I did not mind paying a bit more for quality product .came with instruction in proper English not translated from Chinese !. It was fitted with no problem and am very happy with this item.I had looked at cheaper product on market and read the review on them almost all of them are poor quality and risky as still there is a pin at one end.
