Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best-selling in iPods & MP3 Players
I have two MP3 Players.....A Nano 4gb and the iRiver iFP-790. Hands down the iFP sounds better and louder. Slap a set of Shure E2c ear buds on your unit in it will blow your mind. The iFP battery hase better, navigation just to name a few. For example if you are in the middle of a run or workout and want to hear the song again it takes one button set a loop. No need to traverse the menu like the ipod. If you want to skip a song its one click. Ok so here are the negatives - can't synch with Media Player...you must use the iRiver application to port music. Once ported it is a proprietary format so you cant move the music back and listen with Media Player or Real. Also the unit is large in comparison to other units on the market. With all that said it is, and remains, my favorite unit for work outs. If you shop around you can pick one up for about 1/5 the cost of Nano...for that i live with a short play list.Read full review
Best little mp3 for the money. Holds about 60 songs, easy to load and unload. Comes with case, armband, neck strap, usb cable, software and transfer cord so I can get a song from another mp3 player or discman. Radio feature is great as well as recording voice. I first chose it because it takes one AA battery, very available and cheap when travelling. And it goes for a LONG time on one. It takes a little while to figure out all the features and programming, but well worth it. The sound quality is amazing, once you know how to program the settings. I really got my money's worth, so much I went out and bought another for my son.
I have an iFP-799, and man, it's a GREAT unit. Excellent sound quality, very solid construction, excellent battery life. With a firmware upgrade, you can even convert it into a stand-alone unit that hooks up like any old thumb drive. The down side is that it always requires power, and that it does not charge off of the wall... Come on though, if you can switch batteries, why would you need a charger anyways? The only downside of the modern day is that above 192kbps, 1GB doesn't cut it. Plenty for that 5 hour plane trip, however it's not enough for that 2 week long cross country trip. If iriver made these units in 2 or 4GB models back when they were in production, they would still go for a fortune.
This IRiver mp3 player was my first mp3 player, and I love it. It is small, compact portable, light, and very stylish. It holds about 60 songs and the battery lasts quite a while, and it only takes one AA which makes it so much lighter. The headphones that come with it are exceptional. Some quirks include a hard to attach external case, and complicated programming functions. The screen is small, but bright, clear, legible, and BLUE!!!! Highly reccommended. This is the most awesome MP3 player. I am a certified cave diver and this unit works better than I could have ever expected. The sound is incredible and crystal clear. Can't see myself ever diving again without it. One of the best diving "toys" ever invented and I have one. If you get the chance try one and you will be hooked yourself. These people are geniuses for inventing this.
