I contacted seller and was assured these weren't washed but I'm not sure about that. I've seen plenty of video tutorials how to make poppy seed tea and this didn't look the same, no dirt, grit, sediment, in cheese cloth when I strained the water, water was clear indicating washed seeds. Wanted for pain relief, didn't work for pain but induced a deep sleep. Pain relief 1/10 sleep 10/10.
