I was really looking forward to getting this cable as it would replace the my current bulky VGA box that had served me well for so many years. My old VGA box was a bit large and made of translucent orange plastic so it was difficult to hide it behind my 55 inch flat panel display which was already crowded by a myriad of other cables as well as a DVR, PS3 and a Nintendo 64. This cable didn't disappoint. The picture quality was even better than my old VGA box that I bought back in 2002 and was easily hidden since there's really nothing to hide, unlike a a large orange VGA box. Build quality was excellent and the addition of a male-to-female VGA adapter and the RCA audio to 3.5 mm stereo plug was a nice touch for anyone who wants to run the VGA signal into an HDMI converter.

The VGA box does what it says alright. It looks incredible! Just wait until I try this out on a PLASMA TV, then it will look better than even HDMI could ever be. I also got myself a very high quality gold plated VGA cable with headphone jacks attached, and the video and sound was perfect. I only have 1 complaint. The VGA port is messed up and when I plug in the VGA cable, It won't display until it's in a perfect position in order for it to work.

Pros: This Naki unit works very well with my Dreamcast, and has better build quality than some of the other similar Asian import items you can find on the market. It provides a stable, sharp VGA image, and the stereo audio output is great. If you have not tried VGA with your Dreamcast, you will be impressed! Beware, not all games support VGA output. Cons (minor): I have not been able to get any S-video input/output to work well -- it is always distorted B&W, and I have tried several different monitors. However, that may be a limitation of my old Dreamcast console, since the same result occurs with other brands of S-video cable connectors besides this Naki model. Rather than blame these different cables, I am forced to conclude that my Dreamcast has faulty S-Video output. Anyway, I bought this for the VGA output, not the S-video -- who needs S-video with beautiful crisp VGA output?Read full review
That blurry picture is all about composites failings not your dreamcast! Granted you can see the pixels now but the sharpness and improved color is worth it. I bought an upscaler too to connect vga directly to hdmi but I haven't felt the need to use it yet because it looks that much better! I still have to use the stretch mode because dreamcast wasn't made for wide screen but it looks great even so!

If you are a fan of Dreamcast games but don't wannawanna spend a ridiculous amount of money for a VGA box this is an excellent alternative, the only problem is that not all games are VGA compatible but that not an issue with the cable
