  • A TRUE BLUE SPECTACULAR UNIQUE WONDERFUL ALBUM ! You will LOVE it!

I just love this CD! It is one of my favorite Barry Manilow albums. All the songs are written and composed by Barry Manilow and they are spectacular. The Mayflower is the Apartment that Barry lived in while in New York. This is a wonderful concept CD that he came up with that has various interesting apartment dwellers doing each song. There are 16 apartments. One of my favorite songs are Come Monday about how people have finally made the decision to improve themselves. I love Border Train which is a very mystical song that reminds me of commuting early in the fog or late at night. Turn the Radio Up is an upbeat song that most everyone likes. Talk to Me is a great songs in which Barry talks about couples that fight. My favorite all time favorite on this album is Some Bar By the Harbor in ...

  • BARRY MANILOW IS GENIUS ONCE AGAIN

Barry Manilow's genius us continued on this CD. "Here At The Mayflower" embodies the soul, jazz flavor, and unmatched lyrical tones all cohesively formatted within Barry's unique vocal range. He could probably sing "Let's Much The Potatoe Chips" and it would sound great enough to make it to the top ten. He is one of a kind and this CD is proof of that. If you love Barry as much as I do, this is a must for your collection.

  • Here At The Mayflower-Barry Manilow (Good Music)

This is a nice combination of songs from jazz to dance to swing...even a little bit funky. The theme of the songs (About different people living in the same apartment building) is cute and each song tells a story. There are a couple of songs that I always skip passed because they are a little too boring or sad.("Not What You See" tells the story about an elderly couple living at the Mayflower, then the wife dies on the song "I Miss You"...too depressing). Nevertheless, this is a great collection of songs. As always Barry Manilow shines with his great music and beautiful arrangements. It's a "must have" for any Manilow fan.

  • Barry Manilow- rare

“Here at the Mayflower” cd is fantastic. Very different from what Barry’s usual love songs. “Here at the Mayflower” seems to tell a story throughout the songs. I love it.
