Odessey and Oracle- The Zombies
This is a mini lp reproduction CD, which faithfull reproduces original sleeve artwork of a classic Zombies album. The original of this vinyl album would cost greater than £300 on the current market,so if youy wish to collect classic albums at a reasonable cost then mini lp version are ideal. This particular album contains the classic sixties single 'Time of the Season' as well a few other that may suprises listeners new to the Zombies. This album is up there with Sgt Peppers & Pet Sounds as a body of work which shows how songwriting (& studio techniques) could be used to explore the bounds of musical experimentation - it stands the test of time to remain as fresh and listenable now as if it were still 1968. I heard the 'Care of Cell 44' single played on Radio 2 and was instantly taken by it - the album as a whole lives up to that early promise. It is no wonder that The Zombies were so highly regarded by their peers (back in the day.
