    Happy grandson!

    Our 2 year- old grandson loves to play with the over- 30- year- old Tomy Thomas engines, tracks and rolling stock he was given by a great aunt. One of the engines is Spencer, and he loves Spencer! Unfortunately Spencer is very heavy on battery power, and will not run long before the battery is going flat, unlike all the other engines that will happily run all day on a single AA battery. So I sought a replacement, and it arrived in time for Christmas 2016. The grandson was delighted! Subsequently, Spencer went to work hauling 13 carriages, and as hoped, the battery life is now as good as the rest of the old engines. The old Spencer was quickly retired from service, I was tired of wasting batteries on it.
