    A Great Film

A great film, i have been using my Olympus 35sp camera to shoot this film, and wow lovely images. the film was developed in Ilfotec HC for 9min and was scanned with my Nikon D610 and a light tablet on a copy stand. the negatives from this film are great and i am very impressed with the film.

  • The best high ISO black and white film you can buy

This is not just a superb quality 35mm ISO 400 black and white film. 400 ISO gives low light performance but XP2 shows very little grain. It has a wider dynamic range than any digital camera. No need for HDR. It has a wide latitude (in other words, even if you underexpose or overexpose you get good results). It is a C41 process film so it can be developed and printed in any high street lab, just like colour film but with black and white negatives and prints. Its sister fim HP5 uses conventional silver halide tecdhnology (you can process it at home or it can be sent away for processing at any high street lab). HP5 is a superb film, but I think the slight extra cost for XP2 400 is worthg it. The grain structure is more subtle that convenyional film. Buy it several rolls at a time to ...

  • Black & White photography

This film , which is back & white, uses the exact same processing as colour film. Whoever process colour film in one's area this will wonderful. It should be remembered that while colour film is very good for showing variations of colour in a picture, like country scenes or in woodland, with black and white pictures it concentrates the eye on the detail or the fine points in a picture, particularly street scenes or in surveillance work.

  • Great photo quality

I've used other Ilford black and white film before and this far surpasses anything else, and it was also cheaper to get developed, would 100% recommend

  • useful film

useful film.especially as it can be processed in colour chemistry. If processing facility is skilled.sepia and/or blue prints can be made.
