Gigabyte’s Smart QuickBoost allows for quick and effortless customization of CPU clock speeds in the BIOS. With proper cooling methods, users can overclock processors to reach blazing levels of GHz. With the DualBIOS system, settings and security are reinforced by a backup chip, which protects against damaging system failures. With an Intel X58 Express chipset, transmission protocols are enhanced by Quick-Path Interconnect (QPI). This point-to-point protocol developed by Intel works in tandem with the integrated memory controller to substantially improve transmission rates. Rapid communication is facilitated between motherboard components and the CPU via a front-side bus (FSB) speed of 6.4 GT/s. Equipped with six 240-pin memory slots, the board supports 24GB of triple channel DDR3 2200/1333/1066/800 RAM. This is optimal for users running programs that require a lot of memory, such as industry-standard editing applications.Built with an ATX type of form factor, the expansive board has plenty of room for multiple storage drives. As the board supports NVIDIA Scalable Link Interface (SLI) and AMD CrossfireX technologies, multiple video cards can be installed. Users can take advantage of parallel processing and revel in the increased frame rates and flawless high-resolution display capabilities.These X58 motherboards also come with Realtek ALC889 audio chipsets. This 8-channel chipset is coupled with six audio ports to provide users with high-quality sound capabilities. A Realtek 8111E LAN component accompanies it, allowing the board to generate 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet speeds. In addition, numerous slots are available for varying types of connections.     X58 motherboard with 2xSATA3.0 and 2xback IO USB3.0

    Great value and price like the tittle says it has sata3.0 and 2xusb3.0. the vrms are great for overclocking. Ive got a Xeon X5675 oced to 4.5 at 1.38v no problem. the only thing to be aware is the back usb3.0 does not play well with usb2.0 stuff and i could not boot with some stuff connected to it. but with 3.0 stuff connected its all good. Also the IO shield is a bit crappy (machine cut to fit the board....not original) But hei compared to the Gigabyte UD7 or UD9 with the same features the price performance is unbeatable. Im very happy with it =)

    Not factory reconditioned as stated

    After installing the mother board the HDD indicator light did not work and the eithernet connection did not work. I can deal with the HDD indicator light not working and worked around the eithernet connection problem by installing an eithernet card. I called Gygabyte USA to see about getting my original mother board repaired as a back up and told them I purchased a factory reconditioned mother board from Hong Kong. I was told by the RMA department that Gygabyte factory does not recondition mother boards. All repairs, etc are done here at the RMA center. They told me not to waste my money sending in my original mother board as repair parts such as chip sets if they are bad have not been available for several years. I chose not to send the mother board back since for the most part it is ...
