Although quickly dispatched the snowdrops appeared to have been in their packaging too long and had yellowed and gone slimy. They were planted on receipt and a message and photo of the condition sent to the vendor. Sadly no response. I can only assume they had been dug up and packed a while before purchase and posting.

    New Horizons

    I know from experience at my previous homes that best results in establishing snowdrops is to plant "In the Green" Now that I've moved again I need to start all over. The few poorly looking examples I've inherited are the results of the previous owners attempts to plant bulbs. Just my luck to order just before storms Gareth and Hannah which delayed the planting! Just hope it won't affect the results next year.

    Not the quantity that I ordered so disappointing

    The order was for 100 snowdrop bulbs. I counted them and there were no more than 70 reasonable sized bulbs and a few more bulb-lets. The 70 bulbs may be of good quality, that's hard to say until next flowering season. So it's definitely not good value for money as I paid for 30 bulbs which I didn't receive.

    Bulbs seem fine; hopefully they'll succeed and flower in a year's time!

    I should really be writing this review in a year's time, to see how well the plants turn out - or if they flower at all! Until then I can only have faith that they will be fine. The bulbs certainly look okay, and I've planted them as instructed (actually, now I come to think of it, there were no instructions included, but I used what knowledge I had) and I see no reason why they shouldn't succeed. I don't want to give negative feedback, so I'm assuming all will be well. So please, little plants, don't let me down! May my faith be justified!
