The mandolin has not yet been used but the mechanism for setting the various blade choices appears to be substantial and positive. The safety tool is big enough to give adequate coverage for my larger than average hands and slides effortlessly on the track of the slicer. This looks to be a good choice from the many product options available.

Delivery was in time but the box was broken and the unit was not broken. It was much smaller than I expected as Ad says 2.5L but actually it was 1.5L. I measured it. My advise to seller will be to amend their Ad otherwise they will have many angry customers.. However the unit is working very well and satisfies my needs though refilling more frequently is a pain.
