Billed as a psychological thriller, "Sublime" is filled with suspense, drama, and downright terror. This DVD movie includes the story of a main character that checks into the hospital for what should be a short and simple procedure. This is not the case. In the "Sublime" movie, George Grieves awakens to find things completely not right in the hospital. There is something wrong with him and there is something definitely wrong with the hospital. George finds himself in this thriller, locked away in the East Ward of the hospital, where all sorts of unspoken terrors are taking place. "Sublime" stars Tom Cavanagh and Kathleen York. Tony Krantz directs the DVD and Eric Jendresen directs the movie. Features of the DVD include director commentary, a documentary, and a gallery of original trailers. This psychological thriller is frightening and billed as scarily realistic. The movie is rated R and is not suitable for children.

Sublime: A sick, and very painful film to watch.
I thought that by the cover, we were going to be entertained (see some nice sexy scenes with some nice horror) but instead, we were horrified by this disturbing film. This is not something you want to see because it makes you think about hospitals and the hundreds of thousands of people, who go in and never come out, get infections, have the wrong procedures done on them or die as a result of negligence, etc. If you want to be disgusted, become an emotional wreck, then watch this movie. If you have a weak stomach as I do for this type of thing, take a pass. I also gave this film away because it's too sickening to keep in my collection. And I am a die hard horror flick fan but this one touched on a topic and took it to the next level that made me - sick. Yuck. Truly sick. If I saw this ... If your are a fan of good horror movies like the saw series, hostel, etc, and you're looking for another good horror movie, this is NOT it! When I first saw the cover of this dvd I thought it looked good, and I jumped to conclusions and bought it, but it was a huge disappointment and waste of money! I was not scared at any single moment of this movie, in fact I was falling asleep from boredom. The story is about some man that goes into a hospital for some surgery but ends up getting the wrong surgery, and from here on out the movie just drags on with boring information about the main character and his family. A little confusing for the content
The movie keeps you wondering, which holds your interest, but also jumps around in time frames to the point where it becomes confusing at times. I bought it because I had seen it before, and wanted to refresh my memory on the content. It's a good movie for those of us who like a bit of a psychological challenge, but if you need for things to be black and white..........you will hate it :-)

Average horror movie
On the surface it is a horror movie with a negative commentary against the medical establishment/hospitals. It is also a political commentary about recent events (Iraq, George Bush). It has an interesting twist at the end. Average movie. I got it for pretty cheap so I guess it was worth it.
