I placed the 2 batteries into the Scales and there was no response. My Salter Scales have a battery compartment which require a pair of CR2032 Coin style batteries; both batteries exhibit the POSITIVE cross on one face. The battery compartment illustrates a POSITIVE sign and a NEGATIVE sign. I have tried every permutation by inserting the batteries into both terminals in order to encourage LIFE back into the Scales without success.!!! New Scales only require 1 Battery.
