    To be or not to be Alfred Hitchcock?

    HITCHCOCK Sacha Gervasi 2012 *** based on Stephen Rebello's non-fiction book Alfred Hitchcock and the making of Psycho. This all deals with events occurring in Hitchcock’s private life around his making of Psycho. Some the of facts are obviously true, like Universal‘s refusal to fund it and Hitch funding the film by mortgaging his house; and very significantly Alma’s creative input into his work throughout his life. However there is a deal of psychological interpretation in the film, in that Hitchcock was having psychological itches about his female stars. Also that Alma was on the verge of an affair, thus making Hitchcock feel murderous; all is I feel all open to speculation. Anthony Hopkins plays Hitchcock and has an interesting stab at the character but it is neither Anthony Hopkins or ...
