Coming nearly ten years after the groundbreaking original, Doom 3 continues id Software's first-person shooter series with a true 3D engine featuring bump-map texturing and enhanced lighting and shadow effects. Players will revisit the setting introduced in 1993's Doom but with a more involved storyline written by sci-fi scribe Matthew Costello (of 7th Guest and The 11th Hour fame). <br><br>The result is a more cinematic experience than in games past, with elements of horror interwoven with the action to create a sense of tension. Shadows sometimes appear a split second before enemies attack, creatures materialize in the reflections of mirrors, and monsters can break through walls. Certain classic enemies have also been upgraded, such as the imps, which now stare players down with glaring eyes before pouncing on them.

    Good seller, but seems a bit unaware of the condition of disc-based games. Seller needs to be more careful when listing disc-based games by simple inspecting the condition of the surface of game disc under bright light or flash-light on the phone at home which can help determined the condition of the disc before choosing the right fitting category, because "Like New" means a disc of a game without scratches, scuffs, hairlines, without lots of finger prints and use of wear in general.

    Still works!

    After rediscovering the endless game play and carnege fun factor of Doom 2016, I wanted to go back revisit an old favorite Doom 3. Doom 3 is still an all around good game to play. Had forgotten how choosing between using the flashlight or having a weapon could mean a quick death or possible life continuing game play with either situation making my heart rate fly and shouting out four letter words!##!. Plays just great in Windows 10 after downloading the required patches. Love being able to save and come back days or weeks later and continue the to be startled. Great used price and think it is well worth it. Has been great to revisit and one of the few games that still can still startle me, raise my heart rate, and kind of scary to play alone in the dark. Still works for me! Craig H.

    Good stuff but must tell ya...

    So microsoft no longer support OG games like this straight from the disc. You can download anything these day.. Which makes pc gamers like me confused. I had to do some digging and download a mod which was the smallest file ever. Now the game launches and works like a charm. Thanks again buddy. And the box it came in is awesome. Best part is I can play on airplane mode. No need for steam or running hotspot on my boat anymore just to get my fix with DM3.

    Terrrific game.

    I love this game, it has the auto save feature that saves a new level every time a player enters a new level, has a lot of game play mechanics and you can design your own levels as well.

    Amazing bargin

    This Doom 3 arrived in excellent condition. The CDs are pristine, with no scratches, nicks, or imperfections. They are like new. The original Doom 3 is one of the best 1st person shooters ever created. The game loaded perfectly and plays flawlessly. I am running the game on an older HP laptop using Windows 10.
