The 3.5-inch (88.9-mm) LED touchscreen display of the 1EX00 GPS receiver delivers 64,000 colours with a resolution of 320x240 pixels. The TomTom 1EX00 has a dual-icon menu interface that allows the user to scan through menu options with ease. Customised maps and frequent automatic updating on the 1EX00 GPS receiver keeps maps and routes consistently accurate. Route changing and traffic avoidance keeps drivers on the move with less interference. The voice navigation feature on this automotive GPS allows eyes to remain on the road and includes street names. The Points of Interest feature provides in-city information about a variety of locations such as the nearest hospital, restaurants, petrol stations, or mechanics. The TomTom 1EX00 provides up to two hours of use on a single charge and can be operated while charging. The entire device, including the mount, is also small enough to fit in a pocket and be carried on a walking adventure.

    A good basic satnav. Does not support text to speech. Does not have data access. definitions can be updated via the web site if you have two hours to spare. Updating carries substantial risk of corrupting the firmware if there is interruption to power or data streams during installation. Only attempt it if the unit refuses to work.
