An odd, distinctly British sketch show, LITTLE BRITAIN rose to become one of the most popular comedy shows in its native U.K. Starring Matt Lucas and David Walliams in a variety of guises, each sketch features a unique take on the minutiae of British life. Imitating people from various walks of life, Lucas and Walliams grotesquely exaggerate them for comedic effect; their chirpy yet deliberately irritating character, Vicky Pollard, even spawned a catchphrase that seeped into everyday use in Britain ("yeah, but no, but yeah!"). In 2005 Lucas and Walliams took the show on the road, bringing many of their most popular characters to the stage on an eight-month tour. This performance was recorded in Blackpool.

    If one has to have an addiction, Little Britain is it!

    Not since young Robin Williams debuted on Mork and Mindy, has there been anything to come close to this kind of side splitting humor. Bubbles DeVere will make you scream with horror the first time you see her, but you begin to feel an almost absurd affection for her and other characters as time progresses. Always irreverent and not only touching on taboo, but bashing one in the face with it, their no limits comedy is spectacularly brilliant. Daffyd, the ONLY GAY IN THE VILLAGE, Lou and Andy, Prime Minister and Simon, Marjorie Dawes, Kenny Craig, Maggie and Judy, and Vicky Pollard, are the characters that truley put the fun in disfunctional. Matt Lucas, and David Williams are not affected by American Body obsession, and are two of the most comfortable people in their own skin I have ever ...

    What can you say about two absolutely Brilliant men who are innovative, intelligent and creative! ALOT! These two have done their live show in front of over one million people, have sold out arenas a year in advance, have taken Australia to Usa into hilarity, and sometimes disbelief! Matt Lucas and David Walliams, are superior in what they do. See the live show first, then the series and read their autobiography..amazing and recommended to any aspriring comic or anyone who just wants to laugh!

    Little Britain - Live

    The best live sketch comedy set I've seen in a while. Walliams & Lucas at their best. I'm a fan of Little Britain, own the entire series, yet I purchased this DVD as an afterthought, on a whim really. I wasn't expecting much - I was pleased & very impressed w/ the entire package. Lots of extras, great set of all new material, same great characters. "Yeah and no buts, brilliant."

    If you're a fan, you'll love it! Includes behind the scens footage of the making of the stage show, as well as a mini program. Also included is a mini documentary of David Walliams and his dream to cross the English Channel. You'll follow him through his arduous training as he attempts this rare feat to raise money for charity. Inspiring!
