    Arrived on time, packaged well. Albeit the cleaning solution had leaked considerably in the box! I appreciate it is a refurbished item, so wasn't going to be perfect. But am disappointed that the handle was cracked and that there was old cleaning residue within the pipes, cleaner heads and accessories. So far only tested to see if it works (motor runs and suction) awaiting the warmer weather before cleaning carpets in ernest.

    It's okay. Sum parts don't work.

    I used it once on a deep clean It works great for the carpet. But the tools for the stairs and upholstery don't work. And I have some stains on my carpet that did not come out. Maybe I will go over again. It's got a guarantee for one year, so I will have to get in touch with them. If you get brand new you get six years guarantee.

    good machine

    after my previous vax had died i wanted another. i read loads of reviews and the vax platinum cam up as a good machine. but! the price was too much for me, so i started looking at second hand and vax reconditioned came up for near half the price of new with a warranty. i bought it. put it straight to work and it performed brilliantly slurping what looked like gravy out of the carpet. my only gripe is it needs its tanks emptying and filling more often than my old machine but on the whole i am impressed and satisfied. also an accessory was missing and vax customer service supplied it without fuss reconditioned? the machine showed no signs of use, like new just in a plain box. ex showroom? but i dont mind for 50% discount

    Great but too heavy

    Had to return this item as although we were pleased with cleaning power etc. we found the product far too heavy for us to use safely and for this reason could not fully recommend it We are elderly and had not taken into consideration that we do not have the strength and energy that we had twenty years ago when we last owned a vax carpet cleaner.
