This is hands down the best de-tangler brush I have owned. However, I would not recommend it for thick, wavy hair, like my hair, but it is fantastic for loose curls, like my 8 year old who loves it, especially because it does not pull on his hair like other brushes. It smoothly brushes out his tangles. Love it!
