And I thought the smaller versions were good.......
I have examples of Hornby's previous 4-wheeled Sentinel diesel shunters and really like them, so I decided to add this 6-wheeled version. This one is even more impressive - not just because its larger size gives it greater presence and the red side rods and cranks are a joy to watch revolving, but because the quality has also gone up a notch - the method of assembly has improved the appearance and fit of the side panels which has in turn improved the alignment of the finely-printed lining across these and the cabsides between. The silver printing of the cab side window frames is also noticeably tidier than the earlier models.
