An influential advertising executive awakens in a hospital speaking only in slogans, and has a profound impact on the life of the kindly charity worker who takes him into her home to convalesce. Adan Kundle (Bruce Greenwood) was a legend among ad men. The CEO of a powerful advertising agency, his career went up in flames when he vanished without a trace. But Adan isn't gone, he's just been unconscious for a while. Upon regaining consciousness, Adan finds himself in a hospital bed, and only able to communicate in promotional catch-phrases. Sympathetic hospital-charity-foundation head Karen Hillridge (Parker Posey) takes Adan into her home as he awaits long-term placement, but his presence begins to cause serious friction between Karen and her rebellious teenage daughter Meghan (Allie MacDonald). And though Adan's penchant for spouting out ad slogans is occasionally inappropriate, it isn't long before Karen senses an odd wisdom behind those trite words, and begins to see her life cast in a whole new light.

Cute & Fun
I picked the movie up because I like Parker Posey. This is a cute & quirky movie that won't blow your mind away, but leaves a little smile behind. Adan wakes up in a hospital where all he can do is speak in Advertising Slogans. Posey takes him home for a few days and subjects him to her dysfunctional relationship with her daughter. There isn't a deep plot, other than the rival Ad Exec who tries to take over the company CEO position from Adan who is awaiting psych treatment. I would give this movie about 3 to 3.5 stars out of 5, because I crush on Parker Posey and her smart/nerdy/fun/cute characters. And to hear famous Ad Slogans in lieu of normal speech from Greenwood's character has it's funny moments. Makes a good, clean, light-hearted watch.I picked the movie up because I like Parker Posey. Bruce Greenwood is Outstanding as Always
While this is supposed to be a quirky comedy, it is really a lot more than that. Bruce Greenwood, whose character only speaks in ad slogans in the film, actually says more with his eyes and body language than he does when he is spouting off slogans. He is incredibly expressive, and those statements with his eyes are often quite deeply serious. Best of all, he plays guitar in this film (he plays quite well in real life) and the first solo piece is quite beautiful. If I had a neighbor who sat on his terrace and played guitar like that, I would leave all of my windows open all night to listen to him. This is a heartfelt story more than just the surface comedy. I found the characters who had taken over his character's ad agency in his absence a bit annoying, but they weren't suppose to be ...
