    Drake's Crispy Fry Mix

    I have been using this brand of batter and coating mix for almost fifty years., First, only in restaurants due to the unavailability in the retail market. I started buying Drake's Mix in 1987 or 88 when it became available in a retail store that was opened by a commercial food supplier in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Gordon Food Service opened their retail stores about that time. Made me a happy lady. Don't have to make my own anymore. We use it for many things. Batter for deep frying chicken, onion rings,shrimp.. Dry for baking chicken. I brush chicken with canola oil and coat with Drake's Mix and oven fry at 420 degrees. I recommend Drake's Mix for anyone who wants a professional batter whether it is beer or water, it works.

    Great for most Fish

    Drake's is great for any white fleshed fish! Bluegill, perch, crappie, walleye, northern pike, catfish and swai are all enhanced when coated with Drake's mix. I just can't imagine our Friday fish fry without Drake's mix.
