Good connectors but Practise your soldering skills!
I would only recommend this connector for connection to a device using the mating item, with no other choice. In our example this is for connecting to an Audio Technica 700 series body-pack transmitter. I would not use this in a new design. These connectors are challenging to solder a cable to! You really need to do this under a binocular microscope or with a USB microscope and a monitor. Hirose used to put pin numbers adjacent to the solder-side of each connection, but it seems that now you need to align with the keyways. On the upside one properly installed the strain relief does seem to do a good job they make a good connection. I would only recommend this connector for connection to a device using the mating item, with no other choice.
