One of the latest phones in the Nokia E Series Range. Loaded with an array of features such as a 3.2mp camera (good quality but by no means exceptional), mini SD card slot (so mp3's, photos/video clips and general files can be stored) and onboard radio. The screen also flips from portrait to landscape when the phone is held sideways, probably of benefit for use with the sat nav software (seperate purchase) but equally useful in camera/video mode, where the camera button is located just above the screen. The build quality although very slim and very light is a little flimsy as the battery cover all too easily detaches itself and falls off, whilst ironically, trying to remove the battery is nearly impossible! Speakers sound tinny due to lack of substance/weight to the phone (in fairness it ... One of the latest phones in the Nokia E Series Range. Speakers sound tinny due to lack of substance/weight to the phone (in fairness it is a business phone rather than a mp3 player) but general phonecall quality and sound is decent, as are the provided headphones, which plug into the standard 3.5" jack socket, which is a great feature; no converter/adaptors needed to plug in your standard headphones. The screen is large and clear. The interface is typically Nokia so anyone that has used or currently has a Nokia will be totally familiar with the layout and menus. There are loads of office based apps provided like quickoffice, adobe pdf, dictionary and zip, making this very useful for a business user but not so for anyone who doesn't need the functions. These programs may be the reason that the phone is often quite slow to respond as it has so much software installed. As yet the phone has not crashed on me (2 weeks medium business/personal use) but the slow responsiveness is certainly a massive annoyance for me. Probably the most difficult and tedious thing for me about this phone is the silly qwerty keypad that nokia have decided to include on the phone. If you have used a normal key layout on your mobile(s) forever, then this really isn't the phone for you. It is impossible to text message/write emails without looking at the keys as each key doubles for 2 letters in qwerty speak, so just frustrates you when using the keypad. I really dislike it and will be selling the phone solely because of this as I just cannot get used to it. Simple things like firing off a quick text now take me a couple of mins of dilligent thumb prodding, rather than a reflex 10 second blind click of the keys. This doesn't make the phone bad, i must add, but is a major disadvantage for me. I guess that as with anything, one will get used to it with repeated use, but its not for me and I'm sure many other users will find this to be the case..... The phone just isn't wide enough (blackberry style) and doesn't have single keys per letter to allow it to emulate a qwerty keyboard. A clear case where form hinders function! On a positive note, the keys are nice and responsive Battery life is very good on this phone. With medium general/call use (couple of hrs calls a day) I have not charged the phone for 3 days, although use of wifi/bluetooth functions do drain battery very quickly, but this is true of most mobile devices. Overall, this is a well specified phone that looks good and is very light, but patchy build quality and strange qwerty keyboard along with intermittent slow responsiveness mean that this phone is good rather than excellent.

I wanted a non-touch but smart phone with essential business capabilities. Nokia E55 did it for me. The keyboard takes some time to get used to, but when you do, it is a joy to use. Not like tiny-crammy QWERTY keyboards. The screen is beautiful. Can be read in sunlight and very detailed. The OS works perfectly and allows essential business functions to run seamlessly. And the battery life - amazing. It goes for many days between charges. Can be charged from your PC using the included micro USB cable (15cm - short). And the design, it is beautifully finished, nicely sized and perfect in hand. I love it, really.I wanted a non-touch but smart phone with essential business capabilities. Nokia E55 did it for me. Nokia E55 is excellent
It is a super slim phone with great battery. It last almost a whole week with intense calls and average data usage. It is overall a great phone, very nicely built but the software can still be improved! By the way, google maps work great and the driving guide is excellent.

I decided to purchase this phone because it is featured packed, and it doesnt disappoint. Its fast (one of the fastest Nokias I have owned) The battery life is outstanding. Browser is fast. Native apps like youtube,facebook all work seamlessly. The keyboard does take a little getting used to, but once you have played with it a while it all comes naturally. The predictive text learns the words you use frequently, so the more you use it the more it remembers. There are some S60 apps that dont work with this keyboard yet so beware. i am sure there will be updates to these apps at some point in the future. All in all an excellent piece of kit and would highly recommend it to anyone.I decided to purchase this phone because it is featured packed, and it doesnt disappoint.
