    Nice contemporary turntable with moving magnet cartridge

    I have seen some reviews of this turntable that have found the tonearm difficult to balance for setting up the correct weight on the stylus. I also found on first use that it this was an issue, however after a few hours of use the gimbal seems to 'loosen up' and then the tone arm can be properly balanced. I find the anti-skate is quite strong and needs to be set lower than the counterbalance weight setting to avoid the anti skate applying too much force. The budget Audio-Technica moving magnet cartridge performs well on this turntable. The output via the in-built pre-amp (I do not have a separate phono-stage in my hi-fi) is of a good volume and provides good decent response when compared to other line in devices.     Had done a lot of research to find the mix of aesthetics and sounds quality-this does not disappoint, especially for the price. Looks great, plenty of adjustments to get the setup right and plugs straight into our BOSE speaker! Very happy!
