    Chaplin

    A saw Chaplin at my local cinema in Stocport it had a limited release when it came out an outstanding movie. Robert Downey the first film i had seen in, before Tony Stark . Moira Kelly in two roles and one ot the Producers Mario Kassar more famous for the blockbusters than this sort of film .,even he make a more mature movie, the score by John Barry and finally Richard Attenbough directing ,can i say any more

    Wonderful

    A fantastic biography of an amazing man. Chaplin is not to be underestimated. In his time he was the most famous man on the planet. He was the inventor and founder of the full length feature film as we know it. Yet he rose to those heights from a catastrophic childhood. He was no saint, but he was one of the brightest geniuses of the 20th Century. Attenburgh's film is a masterpiece from another great film maker. Downey Jr's performance is enchanting - undoubtedly worthy of his Best Actor Oscar. This is a key piece of film history in more ways than one. If you love film, you would do well to watch this and discover the man who made it a mainstream, global, art form.

    Should have won an oscar

    Robert Downey Jr has really studied his Chaplin. I know this caise I've read several books of Chaplins' life. It is also fascinating that Geraldine Chaplin plays the role of her own grandmother.
