    Another job well done by Ken Burns!! My wife and I had grandfathers and great uncles that served in every branch, so this video series hits home. The stories of both servicemen and families that were home are engaging and are a real tear jerker. There is a real familiar feel to the lifestyles portrayed as well which makes it all the more an emotional experience!

    Brilliant!

    I bought this series to go along with the book, The series and the book are 98% identical. Not that there are any discrepancies, but each one has some small fine points that the other has left out. I loved both but MAN WHY IN THE HELL DON'T WE TEACH THIS HISTORY IN OUR SCHOOL. This book and the series are disturbing but brilliant.
