Notes
Digitally remastered and expanded edition of the 1985 debut album from the iconic alt rock band. Including nine previously unreleased demos, remixes and live songs from a San Francisco show done in 1986. The title track "We Care a Lot" was later rerecorded for their follow-up album Introduce Yourself and released as their first single. This later version of the song was incorrectly listed as the original and the album Introduce Yourself was also listed as the début in the sleeve notes for some subsequent releases. The band is known to have re-recorded only one song from We Care a Lot in the studio with current singer, Mike Patton, on vocals. "As the Worm Turns" was recorded during the Angel Dust sessions.

  • Highly recommended release for any Faith No More and Faith. No Man fans.

Essential Early Faith No More. I recommend this album, it's stronger than 'Introduce Yourself' in my humble opinion. This was somewhat of a crossover for the band, a change of lineup but if you research, many of the members from earlier bands and related projects (Chuck Mosely played piano in one). It also has the most post punk influence. During this same time, Mike Patton, Trevor Dunn, Danny Heifetz and Trey were doing some great and loud and offensive early Mr. Bungle as well. I recommend researching the band history. The remaster that was done here makes it sound absolutely full, far better than than the original disc & cassette release, but not overblown. The bonus tracks are merely a plus for collectors but they are definitely worth while for FNM officianados! Favorites from ...
