    Impressive

    I had thought about the merits of a battery powered chainsaw every time I tried to start my old petrol model, and finally took the plunge with the DeWalt. It is amazing; quiet, powerful, quick to start (instant!), and easily the measure of my McCulloch and on a par with the neighbours Stihl for speed of cut. Battery life is well beyond expectation and charging was quick during a lunch break. I guess if this was to be used all day as a professional tool then the battery life may be an issue, but for all other applications I cannot fault it. (buy one before the end of October 2020 and there is a second battery free from DeWalt when you register the product - as well as a three year guarantee). The attached pictures were all done on one charge...

    Better than petrol in so many ways.

    An outstanding chainsaw in many ways: by far the easiest-to-clean electric saw I've owned; more power than any mid-range petrol saw I've owned and hasn't stalled cutting the toughest hardwood; good torque throughout battery duration; surprisingly light too; excellent bar length for the kind of work I do (mainly coppicing birch & willow). Don't hesitate - buy it!

    DeWalt cordless chainsaw

    I have used the chainsaw several times and it works perfectly. Very robust and a great alternative to petrol power. Very happy with it.

    Brilliant chainsaw without the fumes

    WOW! This thing will cut through anything & lasts. It cut down around 20 trees, each around 15cm-25cm (6"-10") in diameter & around 6m (20') tall in one hit without breaking a sweat (but I did)! Mega 9Ah 54v FlexVolt battery charges in just over an hour & lasts as long as you can without taking a break. If you've got the stamina, maybe thing about getting a second battery, but for mere mortals, one's plenty. In 2 weekends of chopping down trees it's more than paid for itself.
