Another good Batman movie!
As one of any number of big time animated Batman movies, going back 15 or 20 yrs, SON OF BATMAN fits in nicely with the overall and continuing serial. This particular installment has lots of action at times, but can be a bit bogged down and slo at other times. And the threat element of Deathstroke and his 'man-bats' and their off-shore secret research lab was mostly external to the main story arc; which is that Bruce Wayne knocked up Talia al Ghul yrs ago and now the kid is 12 and has to come live with Wayne. That's all they needed to do in this film. The constant tweaking of the Batman's looks and voice (along with Alfred, the Batcave, Nightwing, etc) from one film to the next can also be a bit bothersome. You'd think after 20 yrs of films that at least some of the basics would be canon by now.
The Damien character is fun and engaging tho: sometimes bratty/sometimes noble, and looks to be a good partner for Batman.
All-in-all I did like this movie but not as much as BAD BLOOD, GOTHAM BY GASLIGHT, or even THE MYSTERY OF THE BATWOMAN. But to the collector still worth having.
