  • A good fit.

Being a Jaguar part it fits the car perfectly. A bit scary having to drill holes in the car but the bolts have to go somewhere! My only complaint is that the rear mudflaps are supposed to be clipped to the rear valance with spring clips. They're not supplied as part of the kit and you don't know you need them until you read the fitting instructions. Given the cost of the parts a couple of spring clips seems an odd thing to leave out - they will almost certainly be needed to hold the flaps against the car when the sticky strips age and dry out. If you're thinking of getting the rear flaps make sure you get part no. T4N16296 as well (they're the clips!).

  • Good fit shame about the fitting instructions!

The only reason I have recommended them is that they are a Jaguar sourced part and therefore do fit the car profile and I cant see that there is any alternative. The main complaint is about the instructions that you have to download from the internet. These are not explicit enough relying on pictures with no text to guide what you are supposed to do especially with the sequencing of the preparation for the adhesive tape onto the bodywork. After only 1 week the mudflap's tape is starting to peel away from the body of the car. I more secure fixing technique is needed as I cannot see the mudflaps staying on for any length of time? Now is that my fault that I did not do the preparation adequately or that this 3M tape is not fit for purpose? According to the XE Forum I think it is the latter.
