Tomtom Go Basic 6 is far from basic!
I have always found Tomtom satnavs to be clear and reliable. Tomtom Go Basic 6 has a nice sized screen, a comprehensive range of settings and lifetime wifi updates. It replaces an earlier model that I owned and is proving to be a worthwhile improvement.

Not as good as older Tomtoms
More features than my trusty old XXL. It has more features but a horrible, non-intuitive, GUI. There is a problems when planning your route on your phone and sending the result to the Tomtom. Under these circumstances you cannot plan ahead for another day as the route on the Tomtom ALWAYS starts from your current location, not from where you planned. The Tomtom also pickes a different route from that on the phone, not always a better one.More features than my trusty old XXL. It has more features but a horrible, non-intuitive, GUI. TomTom Go v One
The TomTom Go Basic does most things you need from a navigation unit at a reasonable price. The display is bright and clear and the audio also loud and clear. Good for an open top car. I purchased this Item as an upgrade to my old and faithful TomTom One. Basically the Go does the same thing but with a better screen. However! I have to say that the old TomTom One is far easier to set a destination and alter on the go than the Go. The Go requires you to press a tiny icon at the bottom of the screen to return to the settings whereas the old One just needed a tap anywhere on the screen surface. The Go then presents you with another line of icons which must then be navigated before you arrive at the setting you wish to alter. I guess I will get used to it eventually but it will never be ...
