Warning Chick Flick Ahead!
Well done movie about a young Asian couple. His side comes from money and her side doesn't. They go to Singapore to meet the family. Nice cinematography and good performances. I especially liked Awkwafina's performance as Peik Lin Goh, the crazy friend. I wouldn't be surprised to see her win an award for this one. The movie is worth watching but in the end turns into a chick flick. Can you see the American female public crying into a tissue as they watch this one (lol)? Yes guys sooner or later your wife or girlfriend will want to see this so just go now and get it over with. Otherwise you may experience "Chick Flick Future Syndrome" which is when you know a chick flick is coming up soon but don't know when or where. classic comedy family drama
a charming often funny story about two young lovers going to visit his family in his home country. She meets them for the first time at a very big party. what she didn't know was his family was not only rich they were considered the first family of the city. It has it's serious side salted through out this movie is very well acted, the storyline is so well played. this movie begs a sequel

Funny entertaining love story.
All said and done this story tells of what happens when the working class person meets, falls in love with and wants to marry a 'Silver Spoon' complete with a clinging Mother who doesn't want to let go of her son. Love prevails in the end.
