Works well, no problems so far, and I hope it lasts.
I used to have two identical 60 GB IBM Deskstar hard drives, around 1999/2000. Both failed within six months, three days apart, and I had to send them back. I received replacements after about a month, and the replacements died again within six months, repeat the above, sigh! So when the third pair failed, this time after only four months, I sent them back and insisted on a refund, which I eventually got after talking to Trading Standards. After those problems, I refused to even consider buying Deskstar hard drives, as even after Hitachi took them over from IBM, there were still a lot of horror stories about the Deskstar drives. However, over the last three or four years, I've heard only good things about them, so when I needed another backup hard drive, I decided to give this one a try. ... Excellent product and value for money from my supplier
Bought the product to replace existing drive. Found it to be easy to install in my system. Has worked well and provides the extra capacity I needed.
