  • "Don't Panic"

    Douglas Adams' second book is just about as funny as the first, although lacking in a few "Hitchhiker's Guide" references. Luckily, Marvin the Paranoid Android is just as depressingly funny as before. They kind of (cough) find the question to the answer of the supposed meaning of "Life, the Universe, and Everything," although not quite as logical. The bowl of petunias will be back, but as a different animal, but you'll have to find out in the third book just why exactly the petunias thought that. Really, you don't get the book to its full extent until you read all of the five books. Well, actually three is enough, but reading five is more preferential, as you're trying to escape the phone bill company right now, eh? (That was a reference to the Foreword in the Ultimate Hitchhiker's ...
