Nice sweater. I could stretch it to fit perfectly. That hair conditioner hack is great. I enhanced the sweater with buttons and it's just perfect!

Wow! Can't believe how much of Vietnam history was crammed into 2 hours. Outstanding, visually beautiful you really get the feel of French colonialism and of an era past.

I love this movie! The first time I seen this movie was in my French Class about 4 years ago, I liked it so much I went to the stores to look for it but as expected I could never find it. So I finally looked online and found it. What I love about the movie is the realistic point of view that it seems like this story could have been 100% real. The love triangle between Jean Pierre, Camille, and Eliane is just so passionate. I like that it doesnt have the typical happy ending, but I dont like how the ending lacks the feeling of an ending. You expect more to happen but it never does. At the same time it fits because what else could have happened.
Catherine Deneuve is a great actress and the film is good.

Wonderful movie from the perspective of French colonization of Indochine [Vietnam] prior to 1954 and the fall of the colonists. Intriguing story that leaves one with the hopes of a sequel.

Anyone with an interest in the history of Indochina will appreciate this movie. It has incredible scenes from beautiful Halong Bay and contains a snapshot of life in French colonial Vietnam. The love triangle between the lady aristocrat, the naval officer, and the adopted Vietnamese girl is ironic because one of them does not know HOW to love. The other two desert to embark on a tragic romantic journey while the other's jealousy inflicts constant damage. The end of the movie is shockingly sad, but it reminds you that such manipulation, evil, and injustice is a reality in the world both then and now.
Great film.

If there is ONE biopic about VietNam, Indochine is it! From Deneurve's performance of the wealthy ice princess who wears her aristocracy like a crown of thorns to the pageantry of imperialism, the story is spellbinding. Plus, Deneurve's charactor wields other people's lives like swating a fly. Ya gotta witness the history, the pomp and circumstance of the dying imperialism as it is torn apart by the onset of communisim. And the unravelling of Indochine.
A friend talked to me about this film and then brought it to me to show it to me but she would not loan it to me so I decided to see if I could find it on-line. I found it at Ebay and decided to buy it. I think it is ridiculous that I have to type so many words for a review before I can submit. A few would suffice.
