DPD parcel service used their tape to repair the box and informed me that if necessary they have documented state it arrived. But as I said, books seem to be fine. Recently I bought Webster's second and third editions, and in both cases the packaging was much more robust. Books are heavy, and handling of parcels is rough.Grove's Dictionary Of Music And Musicians Vol. 1-5, + Supplementary Vol. 1948 (#226599268976)

The listing did say Evri and the actual courier was RM 48 hr tracked, but this made no difference as it was delivered even before I expected. The book was honestly described and for a French social history book it was reasonable value . It was in a nice sturdy cover which saved further bumps when it was posted through. I'd be happy to return to the seller again
