Quality at a good price, better when firmware upgraded
Purchased 2 of these as they were the best price for the size at the time of purchase. They've worked perfectly in a NAS enclosure in a raid configuration (Well I say RAID, JBOD really). They run quiet, cool and fast enough to stream high definition video without issue over a network. I then found out that these drives could be further improved by upgrading the firmware slightly so that you effectively get the performance of the higher performance 'Caviar Red' drives. All in all, these drives will run for years without any problems.Purchased 2 of these as they were the best price for the size at the time of purchase. Great price, low performance. How do they match...
Great product and in very good gb/€ ration, if you find it from a proper seller. But, this is not a performanse hdd. I would never purchase it as a master hdd in order to install OS in it. Low rpm and "green stuf" give a good safty feeling since nothing is "tuned" for performance, so its main target sould be, only storage.
