The first thing that grabbed my attention was Mortal Kombat II. I remember paying $80 for this when it first came out on SNES. That alone made the purchase worthwhile. Rampage (my kids love it), MK III, NARC, and Gauntlet II were included (among others) and are just icing on the cake. Sure these are somewhat dated games but the memories are priceless and reliving them is a dream come true! All the better is the fact that they are ports from the arcade games themselves rather than "translations" (remember NARC on NES?). So what you're actually getting is the games that munched so many of your quarters 20 or so years ago, not a watered down home version. Enjoy!
a pretty decent compilation of classics arcade titles that were developed by midway&atari back in the mid too late 80's to the early to mid 90's.. My personal favorttes are total carnage,Narc,xybots(3-d gaunlet)&primal rage! there are also a few garbage titles as well I don't even bother wasting my time on those games(spy hunter2&hard drivin)..
When looking to experience the good old days of the arcade it is usually pretty difficult unless you actually play an old arcade standup, table top, etc. I would like to say that this game disc is awesome. It gives you games to play that you would have prob dropped 20.00 in quarters in the arcade. Dont get me wrong, nothing compares to the standups, but this is close enough for me. CYBERBALL is my fav. Gauntlet2 is good if you have 3 other people to play with because it is just as hard as it was in the arcade. Overall, it is a good buy, especially if you can pick it up under 10.00.
I got this for one game on here - Cyberball! I love this game and have many fond memories of playing it. The other games on here, most notably Rampage, Gauntlet and Xenophobe are classic 80's arcade games. I remember getting a roll of quarters and spending hours playing Gauntlet! The biggest let down to me on this is Spy Hunter absolutely sucks in this version. I'm not sure it would have been able to compare to the former arcade game anyways. Mortal Kombat is ok on here, but it is tough to do fatalities. Same with Primal Rage. Still, for the money you can find this for and for the fun you can have, this is a great game. I don't think it is forward compatible with xbox 360 tho and that could be a problem for most. If you have an xbox or if you want to get this for playstation, you or kids will enjoy it. My nephew and sons LOOOVE Rampage!Read full review
I bought this disc to play Wizard of Wor. It plays just like the arcade version, the difference being this time I don't have to shell out one quarter after another else by now I'd be down about $50.00. There are also a dozen or so other games that I'll probably get around to playing but for now it's between me and the Wizard...in other words...(Said in the voice of Movie Trailer Guy Don Lafontaine) "In a world where Wizards hit you over the head with a big stick...A hero emerges to kick his butt around the moon! Wizard of Wor...This time it's personal!"
