    Works well but not as good or effortlessly as advertised

    There is a video advertisement for this guillotine siding cutter showing a young woman easily making factory cuts on 8" fiber cement siding and effortlessly carrying the machine around a job site. Does it really make a smooth factory cut? No, it doesn't. The cut is straight but flaky, and more so on the angled side. This means you can't use the left-over piece without cutting it again to remove the rough and slightly broken end resulting from the first cut. Is it easy to make the cut? No. Unlike the young woman, I had to use a lot of muscle to force the cut, and for short pieces there is a tendency for them to lift up -- solved this by putting my foot down on top of the pieces. And no, it is heavier and bulkier than it looks -- I won't be moving it around it very much. BUT.... cutting ...
