    Small and discreet but it works sort of

    After upgrading our old home modem to a new dual band router, I found that older laptops would only see the 2.4ghz bandwidth, by buying a couple of these I was able get them onto the 5ghz bandwidth, easy to set up, a quick tweak to value mode improved performance a little, it is a small device so unless you have your modem or acces point right next to your computer don’t expect a full 100% performance, I get 75% which is fine, excellent tech support from folk tech.

    Instant improvement, and so small.

    I was quite surprised at how well this dongle worked. It came with a mini disc to upload the driver for some reason, but I just plugged it into a spare USB socket, and I got an instant result, my Gbps jumping from just 10 to my providers 73. The disk that contained the driver was not required.

    Generally a good gadget

    Works very well when it does work - really good connection and very fast. Sadly it does several times just drop out and you have to disconnect it and then reconnect it. Generally after that it stays on.
