Nice idea in theory but....
Terrible in practice! These lights are supposed to be "plug and play" but they're far from it. The lights have pins that protrude and are supposed to take the place of the bulb and make contact with the connections where the bulb would sit. Unfortunately, the light doesn't come pre aligned and so takes a lot of attempts of bending the pins to get it to make contact. Even then, it's easily dislodged when the boot is opened and closed. I'm thinking about getting a bit of wire and using spade connectors. On an up note, the light is bright and error free.Terrible in practice! Looks promising
So it’s the right shape and looks like a good purchase but try fitting the bugger!!! The position of the contact clips are impossible to get in the right position without bending the cars clips. Gave up after hrs of trying Drove to Halfords and bought a festoon with resistance built in

Not Plug and Play!
The lights are very bright but are certainly not a "plug and play" for the E46 Coupe. Every time I open / close the boot, they come loose - so I have to refit them every single time. A real pain!

Took out the old bulbs and covers and pushed these in. Very bright and looks better than the LED bulbs they replaced. As long as they last it looks like a good buy.
