This book is great for anyone who wants complete information about vitamins and minerals. It provides detailed info on all vitamins and minerals considered important for health. You will find what you are looking for quickly in this user friendly guide. Includes RDAs for each vitamin and mineral as well as why it's good for you, what foods have it, and the symptoms of deficiency. Also includes information on how these substances interact when taken together and which vitamins to combine with others for optimal results. I also purchased the newest edition of this guide and found it to be missing much of the information that is included in the 1991 edition. I would recommend the older version over the newer one as a guide to taking vitamin supplements for regular people in everyday health ... Generally good reference;however can use a supplement for a refresher. Some of the general diets documented have had changes, but the basic principles still apply for the most part.
