The card was packaged in anti-static material and bubble-wrapped but despite this Royal Mail still managed to wound the box and pop several of the bubbles. Luckily this doesn't seem to have affected the card. The No BIOS indeed allows the BIOS/OS to boot really quickly (much quicker then via Motherboard SATA) and all the HDDs show up in OS.
