TS-E lenses are the Tilt-Shift lenses that can be shifted to obtain perfect panoramic views and perspective control and be tilted to achieve the correct focal plane, especially in wide landscape and architectural photography when used with full-frame digital SLRs. The Canon 24 mm Tilt-Shift lens features three adjustments; tilt, shift, and rotate that may be used individually or in combination to make favourable changes in the optical axis of the lens vis-à-vis the sensor plane. The Canon TS-E 24 mm lens with focal length range 24 mm is solidly built weighing 570 g (1.3 lbs) and features eight aperture blades with f/stops ranging from f/3.5-f/22. The Canon 24 mm Tilt-Shift lens with hood has zoom and focus rings on it. The manual-focus Canon TS-E 24 mm lens has dimensions of 78.7 mm (3.1 inches) by 86.6 mm (3.4 inches). These TS-E lenses have 11 elements in nine groups and an 84-degree diagonal angle of view. Amazing lens that will expand your creativity to outer bounds...!
This is an amazing lens. It requires an understanding of proper use so to get the most out of it ensure you have a good understanding of tilt and shift. (YouTube has good videos) It is manual focus and works best with live view camera functionality. The adjustment wheels/knobs are smooth as is the shift and tilt tracking. Image quality is sharp. Bending the focal plane is a whole new world. Comes with a big price tag but out of all my L series lenses this one is the one that I can’t help feel it’s worth. I bought second hand in as new condition which makes these lenses great value if you can get the same deal.
