    Can't get away from film...

    been a reliable camera forever, but had no need for it much after the ecomomy colapse and the convenience of the digital camera phones. I'm back with new found love again and was happy to see one for sale at such a great price. Problem....it feels like i'm learning all over again.

    Fantastic undervalued camera!

    This camera is fantastic in many ways. Primarily, it’s greatly undervalued. For some reason, these gems are going for very little coin, even in prime condition. However, the cost of this camera has no bearing on it’s capability or functionality. The controls are laid out perfectly, very easy to use, or challenging, depending on how you use it, and the eye control really sets it apart from other cameras. Even versions without eye control are worth owning here. It takes all the ef mount lenses, so the sky’s the limit. And last, but not least, this camera is flat out good looking. I prefer the aluminum version, but the solid black is nice too.

    Awesome introductory film camera for the newbie or the newly converted.

    This is my first film body, and I absolutely love it! It has many of the features I have come to love on my digital rebel, and I find the dials and the buttons easy to navigate. If you're looking for an introductory film camera, this baby will get the job done and keep you smiling all the way!

    Part I needed works like a charm.

    This camera was sold "for parts" and I needed a part that it had, and have successfully transplanted that part. (The latch on for the film cover door, which is a known-weakness of the Elan II body). So, camera itself "unreliable", and there was no lens, so "image quality" also a non-issue. But for a very reasonable price I've breathed new life into a body that has been mothballed for five years, so I'm a happy customer.
