Highly Underrated!!!!!!!
This has got to be one of the greatest family movies of al time, yet no one has ever heard of it!!! That is a disgrace!! This is a fantastic movie for kids and adults alike. Very entertaining, highly engaging and heart warming. However, the picture quality for this exact copy is a bit poor. It has not been digitally enhanced and is the original quality that you would have seen back in 1982. Still, that does not detract from the story and the overall quality of the film. The kind of story Walt Disney would have liked to film!
If you've never seen or heard of this picture you're in for treat. Obviously, it was filmed on a B budget, but this isn't about special effects. This is a film with a wholesome story and a heartwarming message. Child star Bridgette Anderson is genuinely captivating and the loving interaction with her, "kidnappers" is real. This is the type of film that afterwards I think to myself: Why don't they make good films like this anymore? No swears, no smut, no trashy music, and no subversive political message. It's a nice picture and when it's over you won't be afraid to let your kids see the tear in your eye.If you've never seen or heard of this picture you're in for treat. This movie revolves around a little girl who's parents are rich, and basically ignore her. She runs away, and hides in the car of two ex-cons. After they discover her, she refuses to go home. Instead, they decide to ask for ransom money. The movie takes an unexpected twist. Warning: have tissues ready.

I remember watching this as a child and absolutely loved it. Unfortunatly I didn't remember the name of it or realize it was on dvd until recently. I now have it and have watched numerous times. I even got my husband to watch it and he too loves it. Such a great movie that brings out the caring/loving side of two criminals and leads them to rethink their paths in life. Anderson was such a precious little girl, too bad she went on to take her on life with drug use. By far a must see for the whole family.I remember watching this as a child and absolutely loved it. GI really love this movie so very much.. I remember I took a date with me in 1982 to see this wonderful movie, it made both of us cry' my lady friend recommended that we see this movie. I've been looking for a copy of this on DVD for at least 17 years.. I am very excited to have one. So sad to learn that she is no longer with us.. Brigidtte Anderson is a very underrated child star who never get the recognition she deserved. I still cry when I watch this movie. God bless her Cotton socks ...She will be missed forever😢😰😥😢😰💙💙💙💙💘✨✨✨🌈🤜🏾🤛🏻🌈 anchor Bay has the best quality DVD available of this movie. The picture looks just terrific and the sound outstanding. If you feel that your copy was too dark / locate an anchor Bay DVD copy of Savannah smiles.GI really love this movie so very much..
