But lack of actually sending and no communication I have marked as a negative experience.

    Take back control of who can/can't call you! And at a reasonable price.

    Cheapest version of this phone I have found, refurbished so a couple of marks on the handset but it all works perfectly. A company had been calling me with an automated message for weeks, so I replaced my old landline phone with this one, as they called I put their numbers into the blacklist and now they can’t disturb me anymore. Also set it to block anyone who hides their ID when calling, the instruction leaflet was pretty basic but it had the manufacturer’s website where I downloaded the full manual. And boy is this answerphone packed with features! Worth spending time exploring what it can do, amazing for the price. Very happy customer, highly recommended.

    Poorer quality.

    Have had a set of 3 Gigaset phones for a considerable time, one of which 'packed in'. Could not get an exact replacement and settled for this 'compatible' model. Phone is compatible with my existing 'system' and works ok. However the quality is inferior and very 'plastickly'.

    Good Product

    This phone has a lot going for it and is a good buy. The only cons are firstly, it DOES NOT support SMS text messages, which one would expect to have been included as a 'no brainer' for a phone of this kind nowadays. Secondly, although there are plenty of ringtones they are dreadful. That being said, it looks great and is comfortable with some nice touches, including 3 numbers for each contact and an answering machine which can be customised nicely. The sound is brilliant and the keys and menu system are superb. Overall, a nice phone worth thinking about if you don't mind the lack of SMS support.

    Good phone

    We had a Gigaset before which started playing up. However we liked the quality of the Gigaset so decided to buy another. The new one has more modern features like the colour display. Overall I am glad I have another Gigaset and can recommend them as a quality German product.
